Ballistic Testing

Jamco America has designed and fabricated our own internal test facility capable of performing the ballistic testing required for demonstrating compliance with the requirements of FAA 14 CFR Part 25.795. This facility has been reviewed by the FAA and approved for producing, recording, and documenting the data necessary for showing commercial aircraft flight deck doors and bulkheads resistant to penetration from small arms and fragmentation devices as specified in AC 25.795-2A. This facility is fully enclosed and includes a secure viewing room to provide protection from ballistic particles and lead exposure.

Additionally, Jamco America has also developed the equipment necessary for performing the 300 joule impact testing required for demonstrating commercial aircraft flight deck doors and bulkheads resistant to forcible intrusion as specified in AC 25.795-1A.

Our facilities have been used for generating data to demonstrate compliance for many certification programs, including several FAA Supplemental Type Certificates, the Boeing 787 Type Certificate, and most recently the ARJ 21 Type certificate.
